Lactose-primary infant formulas

EU Regulation 2016/127 requires lactose as primary carbohydrate in Stage 1 infant formulas. Some US brands (Bobbie, Baby’s Only, Earth’s Best Dairy, Kendamil, Enfamil Simply Organic) preserve this; others (Similac Sensitive, Enfamil Gentlease) substitute corn syrup solids.

What this list includes, and what it leaves out

Included
Formulas whose primary carbohydrate is lactose, the carbohydrate in breast milk and the one EU 2016/127 requires to predominate in Stage 1.
Left out
Formulas leading on corn syrup solids, maltodextrin, glucose syrup or sucrose. That includes most US "sensitive" and "gentle" formulas, which replace the lactose rather than reducing it.
