Hydrolyzed-protein infant formulas

Hydrolyzed-protein formulas break cow or whey protein into smaller peptides. Partially hydrolyzed (pHF) is marketed for sensitivity but not CMPA. Extensively hydrolyzed (eHF, Nutramigen, Alimentum) is first-line CMPA treatment. Amino-acid formulas (Neocate, EleCare) follow.

What this list includes, and what it leaves out

Formulas whose protein has been broken into smaller peptides, at any depth: partially hydrolysed, extensively hydrolysed, or hydrolysed whey and casein.
Left out
Amino acid formulas are out, because free amino acids are not hydrolysed protein at all. The depth matters clinically, and this collection deliberately does not distinguish it: only extensively hydrolysed formulas treat a diagnosed CMPA.
